Animation film Mahabharat is a big multi-starrer film

The Jayantilal Gada produced animation film Mahabharat is surely a star-studded film.  The film will see actors like Amitabh Bachchan, Ajay Devgn and Anil Kapoor giving voiceovers to various characters in the film.  The news is that now Anupam Kher will lend his voice to Shakuni. Just imagine Sunny Deol giving voice to Bheema. Isn’t it exciting?

Rakesh Roshan gets caught stealing work of others once again

Rakesh Roshan is at it once again. Remember he was forced to pay compensation of Rs. 2 crores to music director Ram Sampath for using his music without giving any credit in his film Krazzy4 in 2008? Read details here.

Well, Rakesh Roshan is once again accused of stealing work of other person. A writer based in Madhya Pradesh has dragged him to a Mumbai court. It’s likely that Rakesh will be publicly told to pay Rs. 2 crores to the writer as demanded by him. It seems Rakesh Roshan has refused to learn from his past. Other Bollywood filmmakers also steal, but he has a history of getting caught. Read the full story here.

Sohail Khan buys a stolen story for Rs. 4.5 crores?

Look at this weird situation. Sohail Khan purchases remake right of Telugu film Stalin, which itself a copy of Hollywood film Pay It Forward released in 2000. And he pays Rs. 4.5 crores forthe remake right. That’s indeed weird. I can understand if you buy an original story for a god amount. But you buying a stolen story is ridiculous in the first place.

Considering a great number of Bollywood films have stories stolen from international films, a film producer should be extra careful before buying a remake right of any film. Recently director of John Day told Randeep Hooda and Naseeruddin Shan that his film is original. Once the shooting was finished both actors came to know that it was a copy of an international film. They felt embarrassed and moved on in life.

Trailer of Sunny Leone starrer Jackpot is sleek

Sunny Leone is doing fine in Bollywood films these days. The trailer of her latest film Jackpot has been released. The film also stars Naseeruddin Shah and Sachiin Joshi.  By the look of the trailer it seems the story will revolve around the casino industry.

I wonder what kind of role veteran actor Naseeruddin Shah is playing in Jackpot. By the way, he looks weird in his odd looking wig. Recently he had worked in another odd kind of film Sona Spa.

The trailer of Dhoom 3 is exciting

Trailer of Aamir Khan starrer Dhoom 3 has finally been launched. It is full of exciting scenes. The stunt scenes look cool and the story seem an emotional story with a father-son connection. Jackie Shroff plays father of Aamir Khan in the Bollywood film. The child actor cast to play Aamir’s childhood role does not look like Aamir by the way. A casting slip. The rest of the trailer is sleek and rocking.

Dhoom 3 will be released on 20 December.

Bollywood and astrology

If you see any quirky title of a Bollywood film or a film title with spelling mistakes you should know that the film producer is superstitious and has changed the film title on suggestion of an astrologer. Ekta Kapoor is a prime example, who has kept playing with titles of her films in spite of suffering several flops in recent past. Her last major film was Once Upon Ay Time in Mumbai Dobaara. Just find out the mistake in the title. An astrologer must be getting richer while films of Ekta Kapoor bite dust at the box office.

Even reasonable looking actors are prone to effects of a superstition called astrology. Recently several actors have changed their names for a better luck. Ajay Devgn is just one example. These actors hope for a change in luck.  If you feel name change helped Ajay Devgn then remember Himmatwala. Also remember there is an actor called Sachiin Joshi who has produced and featured in two flop films in spite of having an extra ‘i’ in his name.
