Sohail Khan buys a stolen story for Rs. 4.5 crores?

Look at this weird situation. Sohail Khan purchases remake right of Telugu film Stalin, which itself a copy of Hollywood film Pay It Forward released in 2000. And he pays Rs. 4.5 crores forthe remake right. That’s indeed weird. I can understand if you buy an original story for a god amount. But you buying a stolen story is ridiculous in the first place.

Considering a great number of Bollywood films have stories stolen from international films, a film producer should be extra careful before buying a remake right of any film. Recently director of John Day told Randeep Hooda and Naseeruddin Shan that his film is original. Once the shooting was finished both actors came to know that it was a copy of an international film. They felt embarrassed and moved on in life.
