Look at this weird situation. Sohail
Khan purchases remake right of Telugu film Stalin, which itself a copy of
Hollywood film Pay It Forward released in 2000. And he pays Rs. 4.5 crores forthe remake right. That’s indeed weird. I can understand if you buy an original
story for a god amount. But you buying a stolen story is ridiculous in the first
place.
Considering a great number of Bollywood
films have stories stolen from international films, a film producer should be
extra careful before buying a remake right of any film. Recently director of John Day told Randeep Hooda and Naseeruddin Shan that his film is original. Once the
shooting was finished both actors came to know that it was a copy of an
international film. They felt embarrassed and moved on in life.
